Buzz and Wavelengths: How Bees See the World

ree

Did you know that bees perceive the world differently than we do? 👀

While humans mainly depend on red, green, and blue to see colors, bees have a distinct visual range. They can detect:

 * Ultraviolet light: This wavelength, invisible to us, aids bees in finding nectar and flowers rich in pollen. Many flowers have UV patterns known as "nectar guides" that are visible only to bees, directing them to the sweet rewards.

 * Blue and green: These colors are essential for bees to identify flowers and navigate their environment.

 * Limited red: Although bees can see some red, it is not as dominant in their vision as blue and green.

This special vision enables bees to play a vital role in pollination, supporting the diversity and abundance of our plant life. 🐝
